Description

Seller's Comments and Description:

This motor yacht design was first built by Uniflite in 1971 and had tremendous success as a strong built comfortable cruiser. When Uniflite went out of business in 1984, Chris Craft bought up the Uniflite molds and facility and started building the 42’ 425 Catalina in 1985. In 1986 it became the 426 and from 1987 to 1990 it was the 427. These roomy cruisers gained popularity through those years and hundreds were sold and loved by their owners because of the great layouts, comfortable staterooms with ensuite heads, large aft deck space for lounging and easy access flybridge. The boats were built with Crusader gas engines and the more popular Detroit diesel engines offering lower fuel consumption and diesel safety. Slip Knott offers the Detroit 471-TI diesel power with an 8KW rebuilt Westerbeke generator, air conditioned comfort throughout, large opening side windows in the salon which bring in outside views and molded stairways rather than ladders. The flybridge has 2 swivel seats at the helm, an L-shaped settee with storage, Garmin plotter and radar complete the electronics package as well as a brand new full enclosure to stay out of bad weather. This cruiser also has a full size stand up fridge/freezer, microwave and electric stove and oven. The dinette will seat 6 guests for dining and the aft deck has an ice maker and cabinet with bottle holders and access to the swim platform. This yacht has lots to offer and will be an excellent vessel to live-aboard or do the great loop or just cruise the Bahamas and Keys.
