Fontaine Pajots sailing cats were so popular that they starting building power cats to grab some of that power market. The end result was a magnificent power vessel as stable as the sailing cats, but built for luxurious comfort and ease of use. For example the huge flybridge offers an upper helm with easy docking views, sun protection and seating for about 12 adults. The teak cockpit has a full canvas and roll up isinglass enclosure with bug screens and easy access to the engines. The cockpit offers a full length aft settee with storage under and a movable teak table with chairs for dining alfresco. The side decks are wide and easy to walk around the boat with SS side rails for safety. The forward deck has 2 bow seats, a storage locker with access to the windlass for easy anchor deployment from the deck or the helm station. The flybridge is huge and has seating for 12 owners and guests as well as a bimini to be out of the sun. This cruiser has twin Volvo Penta diesels which will run the boat at a cruising speed of 9 knots and a top speed of 16 knots. Owners have reported going at trawler speed of around 7.5 knots and allowing them to travel 1000 miles on one tank of fuel. Hemisphere has had many upgrades not found in brand new stock boats like 5 solar panels and a wind generator to keep the batteries up while at anchor, extra custom storage space in the cockpit coach roof, the cockpit enclosure with bug screens and so much more.
